The Weekly War Plan

Most men lose the week before it starts. They wake up Monday already behind โ€” reacting to other people's priorities, other people's emergencies, other people's plans. By Wednesday they're negotiating with their goals. By Friday they've surrendered.

The Weekly War Plan is thirty minutes on Sunday night that decides the next seven days. Not a wish list. A battle order. You sit down with a pen, your calendar, and zero distractions, and you answer three questions.

One: what are the three outcomes that must happen this week? Not ten. Not "work on." Three completed outcomes. If everything else fails and these three land, the week was a win.

Two: when exactly will each happen? An outcome without a time slot is a lie you tell yourself. Block the hours. Defend them like your family lives inside them โ€” because it does.

Three: what will try to stop you? Name the ambush before it comes. The late-night invitation. The "quick call" that eats the morning. The algorithm engineered to steal your focus. Write the threat down, and write down exactly what you'll do when it shows up.

Men plan vacations with more precision than they plan their lives. That ends this Sunday. Print the plan. Put it where your family can see it. Public standards get kept.
